I completed five Girls Who Code certificates focused on data science and artificial intelligence, building projects around women in STEM and the ways AI can be used across different careers. The program also gave me a better understanding of where AI systems make mistakes and how those limitations affect real world applications.

I have worked on engineering projects involving soldering, Raspberry Pi systems, embedded programming in machine code, woodworking, and physical prototype construction. I started the program barely knowing how to solder and have since become comfortable working across both electronics and physical fabrication.

I worked with Computer Science professors using Jupyter notebooks to analyze large datasets related to how algorithms affect young people across Instagram and Facebook. Every Sunday, I lead experiments and learning activities for museum visitors ranging from young children to adults in the Charles River Yawkey Gallery and Engineering Design Workshop. I was a finalist in Engineer Girl’s 2026 essay contest for my artwork, “Natural Infrastructure in Our Communities.” I created the piece with colored pencil on canvas paper and used visual storytelling to explore how natural systems can be incorporated into community infrastructure.

I placed first out of roughly 40 competitors in Massachusetts DECA District 10 for the Business Finance Series event, scoring 84 out of 100 on the exam and 93 out of 100 on the roleplay. The competition required me to apply financial knowledge under time pressure and explain my decisions clearly during the roleplay.

I qualified for the Massachusetts Computer Science Olympiad in person finals after competing in the state level competition. Reaching the finals gave me experience solving challenging computer science problems under competition conditions and testing my skills against other students across Massachusetts.

I was a finalist in Girls Who Code’s 2026 Virtual Challenge for my project Phish Net, which focused on using AI to help prevent financial phishing. The project gave me a chance to apply programming and AI concepts to a specific problem involving online financial security.

I was awarded for completing the Athena Award Program, held in collaboration with MIT, the U.S. Congressional App Challenge, Girls Who Code, and GitHub. I shipped 7 projects representing 30 hours of work. The certificate recognizes independent project development and contributions to Hack Club's global community of young creators.
